Destinys story was pretty bad and forgetable it dident start to get tolarable until Destinys 3rd DLC The Taken King. Rise of Iron Destinys 4th DLC was also pretty cool too. Destiny 2 had a mediocore story and dident get much better. Destiny 2's newest DLC Forsaken took a darker turn that really payed off and we can only hope it stays the same. But most of Destinys story has been external in lore books called grimoire. you get the lore books from playing the game and scanning secret objects but you could only acsess them on a seperate website but recently in Destiny 2 Forsaken they added a lore tab but theres a limited selection of lore. The lore is not bad though a lot of the best stories are in the grimoire cards but that doesent change the fact that you have to seek out and read to the grimoire to learn about these storys which the average player wont do.
